Vitaleta Chapel

The Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta exudes a quiet, timeless beauty. Thought to date back to the late Renaissance, this charming chapel once housed a Madonna sculpture attributed to Andrea della Robbia, the renowned Florentine master sculptor of the 15th and 16th centuries. Today, the Madonna is preserved in the Church of San Francesco, also known as the Church of the Madonna, in the historic center of San Quirico d’Orcia.
